The current Universal Champion has come a long way since the time he was spotted as a member of Adam Rose's Rosebuds in NXT. As a member of The Wyatt Family, he was the brute force that allowed the group to overcome the threat of The Shield, and as a former member of Wyatt's family, he would obviously be someone who could be The Fiend's weakness.
Since his departure from The Wyatt Family, Braun and Bray haven't crossed paths many times, but when they have, it's obvious that there is still a connection.
As noted, it appears that the weakness comes from the lack of trust in their own identity and Strowman is obviously happy with the character he has become. It would be a fantastic twist if Strowman was the one who was able to help Wyatt escape the Fun House world that he has been kept in by The Fiend, but since he's currently occupied with being the Universal Champion, it appears that this showdown may not come around for a while.
