5 current WWE Superstars who look like WWE legends

legends
There’s a lot of familiar faces within WWE

In this funny old world of professional wrestling, it's quite common to see two wrestlers compared to one another. Hell, even the WWE themselves do it on a regular basis with Superstars of the past being brought up left right and centre when it comes to the new era talent.

It's not necessarily a good or a bad thing, but in some instances, it goes way beyond having similar in-ring traits.

Because you see, being told that you resemble an old school legend purely from a physical standpoint isn't the biggest compliment in the world. In fact, it's quite the opposite as more often than not, it means that's where the redeemable factors begin and end.

Of course, this isn't the case with every Superstar on this list, but you'll see what we mean soon enough.

You can all make your own minds up when it comes to the validity of these claims, but at the end of the day, this article is just for fun. Wrestling tends to be taken so seriously nowadays by the media and the WWE Universe alike, meaning that every now and then it's nice to take a step back and look at the simpler things.

With that being said, here are five current WWE superstars who look like WWE legends.

#1 Fandango & Disco Inferno

fandango
They’re like twins – really odd twins

You'd think that after the overwhelming disappointment that was Disco Inferno, Vince McMahon would've learned his lesson when it comes to extravagant dancing gimmicks - but nope. Fandango was first introduced to the viewing audience in early 2013, going on to have a mixed degree of success in the company.

To this day he's still with WWE in a tag team with Tyler Breeze, but the real thing that we want to focus on is how Fandango actually has a striking resemblance to Inferno himself. The two have the same kind of build in addition to their haircuts and facial features, and nobody can deny that they'd want to see them team up.

Now onto a slightly more intimidating duo.

#2 Luke Harper & Bruiser Brody

Harper is a machine

This one is about as self-explanatory as it's going to get. Luke Harper is the second coming of Bruiser Brody and both men have such similar traits in and outside of the ring, with Harper possessing all of the necessary skills to take his career even further than Brody did.

Obviously, Brody's stint as a professional wrestler came to an end in a tragic manner, but that shouldn't take away from the fact that he was a truly incredible performer. If Harper keeps his momentum going that he's built up over the last few months, then the sky truly is the limit for a man who is a fond reminder of one of the greatest brawlers to ever lace a pair of boots.

He's just a.. pretty boy?

#3 Tyler Breeze & Shawn Michaels

Tell us you wouldn’t want to see this

This one works a little bit better if you use Shawn Michaels from the mid to late 90s as an example, but it still works. The pretty boy and the sexy boy. Tyler Breeze is Shawn Michaels turned up about 10 levels too high, with his persona echoing the cocky nature of The Heartbreak Kid from way back in the days where being edgy was Shawn's speciality.

It's not just in terms of appearance either, as Breeze has regularly brought out a superkick or two during his tenure with WWE. In addition to that, Tyler has actually referenced the comparisons between himself and HBK in past interviews which isn't surprising considering how much of a compliment it truly is.

Okay, okay, this next one is a bit cheeky.

#4 Randy Orton & Bob Orton

The Ortons have a fantastic wrestling lineage

Yes, we're fully aware of the fact that Randy and Bob Orton are father and son but that shouldn't take away from the fact that they're incredibly similar. In terms of their mannerisms and their actual physical features, the two really are two peas in a pod as was demonstrated throughout their alliance during the feud with The Undertaker.

It's fair to say that Randy has long since surpassed his dad when it comes to in ring ability as well as overall accomplishments, but Bob Orton’s legacy is nothing to laugh at. The man is a WWE Hall of Famer who featured prominently for the company in a number of big events - including the main event of the first-ever WrestleMania.

We conclude with a less than obvious selection.

#5 Brock Lesnar & Harley Race

lesnar
Two peas in a strange pod

Brock Lesnar is one of the most dominant figures in all of WWE, and it's been that way for quite some time. Some fans will argue that there is no man on the face of the earth who can be compared to the Beast Incarnate, but we've got a suggestion that just might turn a few heads - and it's none other than Harley Race.

Harley is one of the greatest professional wrestlers in the history of the sport and we shan't hear another word said about it. In terms of the comparison, both men are gritty and hard hitting and their actual facial features are scarily similar. Now we aren't suggesting that Race is actually Brock's father or anything - we're just heavily implying it.
