Peyton Royce is looking for her shot at WWE's main event

Peyton Royce wants her shot against WWE RAW Women’s Champion, Asuka. In her impassioned promo thrust her into the spotlight and in contention to challenge the "Empress of Tomorrow". Royce has faced Asuka previously, but it was in a non-title match that lasted only mere minutes and certainly not the match against the champion one would want.

Toward the end of last year, Royce seemed to be gathering momentum when she eliminated former SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley at Survivor Series. Unfortunately, it came to nothing, and Royce is sick and tired, waiting for a second chance.

The current state of the RAW women’s division is underwhelming, to say the least. The champion, Asuka, is poorly booked and overshadowed by Charlotte, Nia Jax, and Shayna Baszler. As Royce said in her promo, the “same old, same old”. WWE seem unable or unwilling to elevate new stars to the main event level. Asuka is a champion without challengers, and Peyton Royce is demanding that she get her shot rather than the select few that are always in contention.

Royce has proved with her performances in the ring and now on the microphone that she is ready to break through the women’s main event and championship scene.
