Adam Cole would've been a worthy challenger for Reigns when he was in WWE. Even though a number of big names have jumped ship from WWE to AEW in recent weeks, Cole might just be Tony Khan's shrewdest acquisition.
An incredibly charismatic performer, Cole has the potential to be one of AEW's biggest stars. His catchy new entrance music doesn't hurt his chances either. The 32-year-old would do everything in his power to make the most of an opportunity to work with Reigns.

#2. Jon Moxley has found his footing in AEW
As two members of a legendary faction, Roman Reigns and Jon Moxley will always be inextricably linked to each other. The pair have great chemistry on camera, and are friends behind the scenes. Reigns and Moxley's shared history could translate into a compelling storyline.
Once The Shield split up and they went their separate ways, Reigns and Moxley had contrasting fortunes. While WWE threw all its weight behind Reigns and positioned him as the top babyface, Moxley was left to flounder in midcard purgatory.
The former AEW World Champion could channel these frustrations in a feud with Reigns and make it one for the ages.
#1. CM Punk vs Roman Reigns needs to happen
Before CM Punk's AEW debut, Reigns took a jab at the former WWE Champion. In an interview with Ariel Helwani, Reigns – who was working with John Cena at the time – took exception to Punk's comments about established legends returning to WWE.
"These statements are coming from people who thought they were better than they were. CM Punk wasn't as good or over as John Cena, he didn't move the needle like The Rock," said Reigns.
Since Reigns is WWE's posterboy and Punk fancies himself an iconoclast, this feud has all the makings of a classic. The Tribal Chief is aligned with Paul Heyman, a man who played a significant role in Punk's rise to stardom.
With so many narrative threads waiting to be woven into a rich tapestry, CM Punk vs Roman Reigns is the defenitive dream match of this era.
