The undefeated streak of Goldberg was something that turned the tides during Monday Night Wars. The nWo angle kept WCW in the lead, but WWE took back the ratings and kept WCW on the back foot later.
The only thing that helped WCW to survive was the winning streak of Goldberg. Made in the WCW power plant, the success of Goldberg belonged to WCW and they made good use of him.
The streak broke many numbers and he went on to have 173 victories to his name before Kevin Nash of all people ended his streak. There are a lot of theories about the same but Nash ending such a big streak isn’t easy to digest for WWE fans.
