At 38, Mercedes Martinez might not reach the top of the WWE women's division, but she has a wealth of experience in the independent circuit. Martinez has competed in the WWE in the past, appearing in Mae Young Classic matches as well as a few episodes of NXT.
Martinez first arrived on the scene with an acclaimed match against current NXT trainer Sara Del Rey and has also had matches with the current NXT Champion Shayna Baszler. She has had a 15-year long career in various promotions, having won titles everywhere she has gone to.
She has won over 20 titles during her independent run and is currently the Champion in top promotions. While she might not get a long run on the roster if she is indeed offered a job, Martinez can probably do wonders in the Performance center alongside Del Rey.
