As iconic as Michael Buffer’s “Let’s Get Ready To Rumble!” is in boxing, Tony Chimel’s high pitch introduction of Edge will always remain one of the most hilarious introductions in WWE history.
The story goes that Edge, noticing how Cena’s introduction was different during his reign as the champion, wanted something unique to be done during his introduction as well.
This led to Tony Chimel’s over the top intro, where his voice cracks while saying “Rated R Suuuuperstar”. Tony was brought to WWE on a couple of instances only to introduce Edge, and also interrupted Beth Phoenix during this year’s WWE Hall of Fame, to once again announce Edge!
