#4 WWE Championship will not be on the line at Elimination Chamber

The WWE Championship match was one of the most anticipated matches of Super ShowDown. Earning his first title shot for the most coveted prize of the red brand, Ricochet was expected to do well, as he had a great momentum before heading to Super ShowDown. Nevertheless, Ricochet's first WWE Championship match didn't go the way he had expected.

While Ricochet wasn't predicted to beat Brock Lesnar, he was certainly anticipated to put up a good fight, proving his worth as one of the breakout stars of the last year. However, the match lasted less than two minutes, and Lesnar squashed Ricochet to retain the WWE Championship.

Since Drew McIntyre is next in the line to take on Brock Lesnar, the latter shouldn't have any other opponent before heading to WrestleMania 36. Hence, the WWE Championship is unlikely to be defended at Elimination Chamber. With that in mind, the build-up for the WWE Championship match between Drew McIntyre and Brock Lesnar should officially commence on the next episode of RAW.
