#3 Promote brand wars and international superstar shakeup

If you have paid attention to Triple H's promos, you would hear him mention NXT as WWE's third global touring brand - the first and second being RAW and SmackDown LIVE respectively. Thus, WWE is clearly looking to promote NXT as the third brand rather than just as a developmental brand.
Earlier this month, WWE leaked that they were doing an international superstar shake-up for April - which was later confirmed by WWE. On April 15 and 16, WWE will organize the first ever international superstar shake-up at the Bell Centre in Montreal.
This shake-up may involve the superstars from the red brand - RAW, the blue brand -SmackDown LIVE, NXT, and WWE's newest "global touring brand" - NXT UK. So, before the mega event takes place, WWE may want the audience to get acquainted with talents from other brands.
