What is WWE doing with The 24/7 title?

While the 24/7 Title belt was originally lauded by fans as just a big ugly belt and a far cry from the iconic hardcore title - as well as just a dumb gimmick looking to capitalize on nostalgia - it has quickly gained acceptance thanks to WWE's unique storytelling. The company has gone all out in scripting different scenarios that were fun to watch play out on tv and generated actual interest in the belt.

It's also helped reinvigorate the career or R-Truth and made a bonafide star out of Drake Maverick.

Unfortunately for fans that have come to love the title, WWE seems to be treating it as an afterthought at the moment. Of course, this can always change, especially based on what they have done in the past with it. For now, though, it is being largely relegated to short segments and publicity stunts.

In all honesty, The 24/7 title segments were a great way to break up both RAW and SmackDown Live, thus why its absence is so noticeable. It was also a great chance for WWE to craft some pretty creative stories that will unfortunately never be followed up on again. But, there's nothing that says they can't come back to it again soon, especially since fan interest is so high.
