5 Indy stars that should join Samoa Joe in WWE

The latest addition to NXT: Samoa Joe

At the NXT: Unstoppable event, Indy mega star Samoa Joe finally appeared in WWE, confronting Kevin Owens in what should soon produce a classic dream match.

Indy stars are slowly beginning to take over WWE as guys like Sami Zayn (El Generico), Kevin Owens (Kevin Steen), Dean Ambrose (Jon Moxley), Finn Balor (Prince Devitt), Neville (PAC), Seth Rollins (Tyler Black), Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson), Hideo Itami (Kenta) and many others are continuing to dominate.

So let’s take a look now at 5 other independent stars who we would love to see join Samoa Joe in the WWE.

5. reDragon

reDragon

Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly form the duo known as reDragon. They are arguably of the best current independent tag teams trailing only perhaps one other slightly more entertaining team.

They are currently signed to ROH where they are former tag team champions but also still wrestle in many other Indy promotions.

Seeing these two in WWE would be quite a sight and would definitely help the currently improving tag team division.

4. Ricochet

Riochet as ‘Prince Puma' in Lucha Underground

Ricochet is an extremely talented individual who would be amazing to see join the WWE roster. He has achieved a variety of accomplishments throughout his career but is perhaps receiving some of his greatest success in growing Lucha Underground where he performs as the masked Prince Puma and became their inaugural champion.

Considering the growing success of Lucha Underground and his prominent role, we may not (or maybe never) see him in a WWE ring.

3. Adam Cole

Adam Cole

Adam Cole is a charismatic, polarising and talented in ring performer who would fit right in with WWE. Cole continues to wrestler in various different promotions including PWG where he holds the record for being their longest reigning champion.

Having Adam Cole join WWE would be amazing and hopefully someday soon it could come true.

2. The Young Bucks

Superkick Party

The Young Bucks, made up of brothers Nick and Matt Jacks, are easily one of the most entertaining tag team duos on the independent circuit today and arguably one of the greatest teams of all time.

The two have been criticized by some as simply being ‘spot monkeys’ but they are still extremely entertaining to watch and their continuing popularity is proving their long term success. Their exciting style is just so appealing to watch. Apparently the duo has actually turned down offers from WWE which is a shame because they could really help to further rejuvenate the tag team division.

1. AJ Styles

The Phenomenal One

The phenomenal AJ Styles has cemented himself as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of the last 15 years and has achieved a wealth of success.

He became one of TNA’s biggest stars and moved on to achieve more success in both Ring of Honour and New Japan Pro Wrestling. The last place for Styles to go now is WWE and that could really be a strong possibility. Having AJ Styles perform in a WWE/NXT ring would be awe-inspiring and a dream come true for many pro wrestling enthusiasts

Please feel free to comment below who you would like to see join WWE. Personally, I would love to see Jarek 1:20 (who didn’t make this list) get signed to WWE and definitely recommend checking out some of his work.
