The Lucha Dragons defeated The Ascension at NXT TakeOver: Fatal 4-Way to win the NXT Tag Team Championship and that marked the first and only time Arias won championship gold. On January 28, 2015, episode of NXT, the Lucha Dragons dropped the tag team championship to Wesley Blake & Buddy Murphy.

Sin Cara and Kalisto made their main roster debut on the RAW episode following WrestleMania 31. For the remainder of 2015, the Lucha Dragons took part in various matches for the WWE Tag Team Championship but were not able to replicate the success that they had at the Black and Gold brand.

Funnily enough, Luis Urive's version of Sin Cara initially used to a trampoline assisted entrance during matches. When he first came to WWE in 2011, Urive used to get into the ring by doing a somersault over the top rope as the pyros went-off behind him.

While this extraordinary feat wowed the WWE Universe, it is not possible for most human beings including Urive to leap that high into the air to perform that kind of somersault in the air. This did result in a few injuries and botches that were uncalled for and later in 2012, WWE decided to tweak his entrance.

During mid-2012, Urive's version of Sin Cara stopped using the trampoline and instead switched for a much safer entrance. He ran down the ramp and slid into the ring and followed it off with a somersault off the ropes.
