#4 The biggest takeaway from Batista vs. Triple H

Triple H emerged victorious from a hard-fought battle against Batista
Triple H emerged victorious from a hard-fought battle against Batista

I personally thought that the No Holds Barred contest between Triple H and Batista was one of the best matches of the night, simply because of the subtle (and not so subtle) storytelling involved in the bout itself.

It was pretty apparent that Triple H was going to win this match right from the start. But when you dive deeper into the performances that both men delivered last night, a pattern starts to emerge.

This pattern blurs the boundaries between a heel and a babyface. Triple H was supposed to be a babyface heading into this bout. But when you think about it, Triple H's 'character' always uses nefarious means to win in high stakes situations, just like he needed Ric Flair's assistance to defeat Batista at WrestleMania 35.

This particular observation was also an undercurrent theme during Triple H's renewed rivalry against The Undertaker last year. So whether you like it or not, Triple H's character will always be accustomed to getting the last laugh over his opponents, whether heel or babyface.

Do you think this rivalry between Batista and Triple H will continue even after WrestleMania 35?
