Last night at Elimination Chamber, The Miz and John Morrison defended their SmackDown Tag Team Championships for the first time since defeating The New Day at Super ShowDown.
The Champions were forced to defend against Heavy Machinery, The New Day, Robert Roode & Dolph Ziggler, The Usos, and The Lucha House Party in a traditional six-man Elimination Chamber match where they were able to come out victorious.
Even though this was the duo's first defense as current Champions, this isn't the first time they have been Tag Team Champions, and given the long absence that Morrison has had from WWE, it comes as no surprise that the last time Miz and Morrison were able to defend their Championships was back at WrestleMania 25 when they lost the Unified Tag Team Championships to Primo and Carlito.
Luckily, last night's match ended in a much more positive manner for the new Champions but looks to have set up a match between Miz & Morrison against The Usos at WrestleMania.
