5 interesting things WWE could do before the year ends

How much longer will Becky Lynch be the champion?
How much longer will Becky Lynch be the champion?

What does WWE have in store for its last month of programming in 2019?

This is one pertinent question doing the rounds in the WWE Universe after whatever has played out over the last few weeks, and it looks like the company is content with spinning its wheels for the time being. It seems much more focused on planning for the upcoming Road to WrestleMania 36 than the things happening right now.

Now that, believe it or not, is actually not a bad idea, especially since the year-end is their most important time of the year. But that must not mean they are forgoing making current proceedings seem uninteresting.

In fact, WWE already has a lot of great storylines in place that can reshape the very landscape of the company, if ventured further in the right direction.

With that being said, here are five interesting things they can do before the end of the year to finish it with a bang:

#5 Take the tag team titles off The Kabuki warriors

Can anyone defeat The Kabuki Warriors?
Can anyone defeat The Kabuki Warriors?

Nothing lasts forever and unfortunately for The Kabuki Warriors, neither can their impressive title reign as the Women's Tag Team Champions. While some might argue that the team still has a while to go on before the company even thinks about taking the titles off them, the rumors surrounding the upcoming TLC pay-per-view seem to point otherwise.

While it's not known what exactly the company wants to do here, rumors are circulating that Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch will be teaming up to take on The Kabuki Warriors in a TLC match. This means that if WWE wants to get the titles off of Sane and Asuka without hurting them, now would be the best time to do that.

Be it via interference, a moment that brings Flair and Lynch together, or even the champions turning on each other, it would lay the groundwork for the titles to change hands again.

#4 Make Rusev the number one contender for WWE title

Is it time for WWE to bill Rusev as a top guy?
Is it time for WWE to bill Rusev as a top guy?

WWE has a difficult choice to make when it comes to pinpointing a new challenger for Brock Lesnar and his WWE Title and while the company has a lot of options at hand, Rusev seems to be their best bet for the role at this moment. In fact, it feels like anyone besides Rusev taking that coveted spot at The Royal Rumble would be an injustice.

Not only is that evident by the way Seth Rollins is getting booed by the WWE Universe, but also by the fact that Kevin Owens lacks the momentum required to fill in the spot. Of course, the company could always go with Bobby Lashley as The Beast's next opponent, which would be a dream match of sorts, but it doesn't have the same appeal as him facing The Bulgarian Brute.

Think about it! Rusev is on a red-hot run as a babyface right now and anything less than a title opportunity wouldn't make sense. Why else would WWE go through all the trouble of introducing the love triangle storyline and getting the fans behind him? Apart from that, why would they be sandbagging Owens right now if they didn't want to do something special with Rusev?

Rollins's heel turn, Bobby Lashley's heel heat, and Kevin Owens's stop and start pushes are all signs that Rusev is the only real option for the company.

#3 Turn Seth Rollins heel

It seems like Seth Rollins has turned his back on the WWE Universe
It seems like Seth Rollins has turned his back on the WWE Universe

Because, why not?

WWE doesn't do a lot storyline-wise during the final months of the year and there's really nothing wrong with that. In fact, it gives them the chance to start planning for The Road to WrestleMania 36, which should be their main focus. Unfortunately for The WWE Universe, however, it can lead to the company spinning their wheels in the meantime.

That is why WWE needs to do something big - something that will alter the landscape of the company for years to come and deliver a legitimate shock to the audience. Moreover, it needs to be done in a way that a majority of fans can get behind, which has proven to be difficult in the past.

Interestingly enough though, everyone in The WWE Universe seems to want Seth Rollins to just turn heel already and that could be just what the company needs to do! At least that way, the fans get the impactful momentum they have been waiting weeks for, the company's landscape changes, and it gives Rollins some momentum going into the Royal Rumble.

Of course, some will claim that the company has made the heel turn too transparent and that it wouldn't be a surprise, but it could be if they script it right. All WWE really has to do is keep the lines vague for the time being, bait fans into thinking that Rollins is still a face, and then surprise them when the time is right!

#2 Split up Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss

Should <a href='https://www.sportskeeda.com/player/nikki-cross/' target='_blank' rel='noopener noreferrer'>Nikki Cross</a> turn on <a href='https://www.sportskeeda.com/player/alexa-bliss' target='_blank' rel='noopener noreferrer'>Alexa Bliss</a>?
Should Nikki Cross turn on Alexa Bliss?

It literally seemed like Nikki Cross was the biggest rising star in the Women's division and that nothing could stop her. Unfortunately for Cross, she, along with Alexa Bliss, lost The tag Team titles to The Kabuki Warriors and has been in free-fall mode since then.

With that being said, and the team of Bliss and Cross being reunited a couple of weeks ago, it makes sense to think that the company is trying to build them up for something. In fact, it almost seems like WWE is doing this in order to eventually break them up in a better way, which could give Cross a lot of much-needed momentum going forward.

All the company has to do is build the two up over the next couple of weeks and focus on their friendship. Then, the duo needs to come up short in a title match and use that as a reason to turn on each other. From there, it's pretty much WWE's choice on what they want to do.

For example, it could have Bliss cost the team the victory and then have Cross turn on her. Or, the company can do the opposite and have Bliss be the one to turn on Cross, which could be an interesting avenue to explore, to be honest.

#1 Take the Raw Women's Title off Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch's run as Raw Women's Champion might not last much longer
Becky Lynch's run as Raw Women's Champion might not last much longer

What's the point anymore?

Becky Lynch won the Raw Women's Title at WrestleMania 35 and while WWE has done a great job keeping her championship run interesting, they seem to slowly be running out of ideas. In fact, It almost feels like the company would be better off taking the title off of Lynch and trying a different direction.

The Man is quickly running out of opponents to take her on. But, that's not necessarily WWE's fault, especially since there is only so far a character can develop before going stale, although the management needs to be aware of this and do the right thing.

Interestingly enough, the upcoming TLC pay-per-view offers the company a chance to take the title off of Lynch whilst keeping her protected in defeat. Maybe WWE could even have someone interfere in a championship match and cost Lynch the victory, which would give her a soft place to fall to after her loss.

In the end, the idea is to get the Raw Women's Title off of Becky Lynch and try to breathe new life into the Red Brand's Women's division.
