5 Legends who can host the Greatest Royal Rumble

WWE and the Saudi General Sports Authority have inked a ten-year partnership deal. Hence, WWE is putting their best to ensure that the Greatest Royal Rumble PPV leaves a lasting impression.

More than half a dozen championships will be defended on this historic night. The only thing lacking in this star-studded extravaganza is an iconic host. Here are the five WWE legends who can be instrumental in making this event a huge success.

#5 Stone Cold Steve Austin

Let the glass shatter again.

Stone Cold is a wildcard for WWE. He retired as an active wrestler in 2002 and since then he has made sporadic appearances. His last PPV appearance was at WrestleMania 32, and he was also part of the 25th anniversary of Raw.

There is no doubt that he will attract a lot of fans to the event. We can also expect a few stunners (bonus) if he decides to be on the show. It will be awesome to see "Austin 3:16" running wild again.

#4 Mick Foley

Mick Foley has a lot of experience as a General Manager.

Mick Foley is one of the first daredevils of WWE. The toughness he showed throughout his illustrious career makes him a front-runner on the list of the possible hosts.

Notably, he was seen at WrestleMania 32 alongside Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels. The three legends took on the League of Nations, and it was one of the most loved segments that night.

He has served as the policy-maker for both Raw and SmackDown Live on numerous occasions. Hence, it shouldn't come as a surprise if he is chosen for the job. His presence could also guarantee that “Mr. Socko” will visit Saudi Arabia.

#3 Shawn Michaels

It will be phenomenal to have the "Icon" back in the ring.

Shawn Michaels has never been an authority figure in WWE since he retired at WrestleMania 26 after his classic match against the Undertaker. However, he has appeared as the "WWF Commissioner" between 1998 and 2000.

The fans around the world would love to see the “Heart Break Kid” calling the shots for one more night at the King Abdullah International Stadium.

Notably, his real-life best friend, Triple H, is going to compete against the sixteen-times World Champion, John Cena. It will be interesting to see whether “ Mr WrestleMania” will lace up his boots to officiate their match.

The leader of Hulkamania had openly pleaded forgiveness for his comments. Subsequently, there were speculations that he might appear at WrestleMania 34 but that couldn't pan out. However, it will be great to have “Mr. America” back as the host for the Greatest Royal Rumble.

Who is next in line for a spear?

Less than a month ago, Bill Goldberg was inducted into the Hall of Fame Class of 2018. The timing couldn’t be better to have him host the upcoming iconic event.

Among all the possible legends who can host the show, he is the last one to retire. Hence, fans worldwide still have fresh memories of the damage he can do in the ring.

Not to mention, he is in great shape and having him throw around a couple of spears could also be on the cards. The wrestling fans would love to find out “Who’s next?”
