5 lightest current WWE superstars

Brian Kendrick weighs 155 lbs

There is a firm belief that if you want to succeed in the WWE, you need to be a massive, muscled individual because that's what impresses the man who runs the show – Vincent Kennedy McMahon. If you're small, forget about any success.

There are of course exceptions to the rule such as Rey Mysterio, Daniel Bryan, and Finn Balor, but by and large, these guys have gotten over because of some insane crowd backing which has forced Vinny Mac's hand.

Things are changing for the better, though, as Triple H gains more creative control over proceedings on the main roster. If he manages to replicate the kind of success he has achieved with NXT, then small wrestlers across the WWE will be able to rejoice.

This is especially important as there has recently been an influx of smaller wrestlers with the return of the Cruiserweight division as well as the start of the WWE Network's 205 Live which is aimed at building up said Cruiserweight division.

There are some really small guys here who will need all the support they can get from the likes of Triple H to rise above the disadvantage of their small frames and make it to the top of the WWE.

So, without any further ado, here is a list of the five lightest current WWE superstars:

#5) Rich Swann – 168 lbs

Swann is blessed with charisma

Oh boy, you know this is going to be one hell of a small list when the heaviest person on it is former Cruiserweight Champion, Rich Swann, who comes in at just 168 pounds.

Starting off with some great performances in the Cruiserweight Classic – where he was defeated by eventual winner TJ Perkins in the quarter-finals – Swann has continued to impress on the main roster.

After the lacklustre start that the Cruiserweight division suffered on Raw, it was Swann's ascent to become champion which was a catalyst for change. He would go on to have a pretty good feud with Neville where he would lose the Cruiserweight Championship to the Englishman.

Swann has found himself in limbo since losing the title, though, and he will be hoping that he can bounce back quickly and not fade away like TJ Perkins did after a title loss. The one thing in Swann's favour is that fans around the world adore the Baltimore native.

#4) Gentleman Jack Gallagher – 167 lbs

Gallagher is a very unique performer

Fourth on this list is The Englishman who has wowed crowds with his performances in recent months – Gentleman Jack Gallagher, who comes in a pound lighter than Rich Swann, at 167 pounds.

Gallagher has been one of the most over Cruiserweights in the company mainly because of two reasons. The first was his hilarious cameo in The Royal Rumble where he enjoyed a significant segment with Chris Jericho.

The second and more significant reason is his super feud against The King of the Cruiserweights, Neville. Gentleman Jack and his compatriot engaged in a pretty violent feud which culminated in the best Cruiserweight match seen on a pay per view.

Despite losing the match and not winning the Cruiserweight Title, Gallagher won the hearts of audiences around the world with the superb wrestling and has ensured that he has given himself an excellent chance of succeeding in the land of giants.

#3) The Brian Kendrick – 155 lbs

Kendrick is a wily veteran

We now come to a Cruiserweight veteran who has been in the business for nearly two decades – The Brian Kendrick. As someone who has enjoyed decent success throughout his career – be it in the WWE or TNA or some indy promotions including ROH, Kendrick knows how to overcome his size disadvantage.

Weighing in at just 155 pounds, Kendrick always impressive with his technical wrestling, the ability to take to the air, and flamboyant personality. After all, who can forget the excellent tag team run he had while teaming with Paul London in the 2000s?

Even on his most recent return to the WWE, he managed to capture the Cruiserweight title from TJ Perkins before eventually losing it to Rich Swann. Kendrick is the perfect example of how smaller guys can succeed in a place like the WWE.

#2) and #1) – The Bollywood Boyz: Gurv Sihra – 154 lbs and Harv Sihra – 145 lbs

The Bollywood Boys could help make inroads in the Indian market

I'm cheating a little here and including both members of The Bollywood Boyz as a double entry here. The Indo-Canadian brothers, Gurv Sihra and Harv Sihra have been a part of the WWE's Cruiserweight division since 2016 without enjoying any real success.

Gurv weighs in just 154 pounds while Harv is the smallest member of the WWE roster, coming in at just 145 pounds on a weighing scale. The two don't look destined for anything beyond mediocrity in the Cruiserweight division but could be a valuable tool for the WWE if the company ever decides to take a more active interest in the Indian market.
