There has to be a reason why former WWE SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley picked up a big victory over Bianca Belair, considering that 'The EST of WWE' been one of the most protected WWE Superstars thus far. Is she being made to look strong to take on Sasha Banks until the Royal Rumble, before someone like Rhea Ripley steps into the mix? There is certainly a story to be explored between Bayley and Sasha Banks, involving the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship.
In a sense, Sasha Banks and Bayley are like Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, whose friendly/rivalry will seemingly never end.
Sasha Banks and Bayley put women's wrestling on the map in a big way with their matches in NXT and they have the chance to do the same for the WWE SmackDown brand too. Sasha Banks won the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship from Bayley, after all, and Bayley may want it back around her waist once again.
