Joey Janela initially got off to a great start in AEW. He shared the ring with the Jon Moxley in the current AEW World Champion's first-ever match in the promotion. However, things never really got going for Janela, whereas, Moxley currently finds himself at the top.

Prior to signing with AEW, Janela was regarded as one of the hottest superstars on the Independent Circuit. He was known for his sheer brutality and his hardcore style of wrestling. However, it is safe to say that we've barely seen that version of 'The Bad Boy' in AEW. Maybe he isn't so bad anymore, after all.
However, all of that could be changed within an instant if AEW decides to pull the trigger on a Joey Janela heel turn. The man currently finds himself in a tag team with Sonny Kiss and maybe things are finally starting to fall in place for Janela but having him turn heel on his partner of all people would generate massive heat on 'The Bad Boy' right from the get-go.
