It was highly expected that Dean Ambrose would surely cost Seth Rollins a match in the World Cup tournament which would then set up a future encounter between the two former partners but Ambros’s shocking absence did disappoint the WWE Universe. It is clear that WWE wants the former partners to collide at some point in the near future and the Lunatic Fringe costing Seth a match in the World Cup tournament would’ve surely set up a clash.
A fitting end would've been to allow Rollins compete in the finale only for Dean to intervene and be the deciding factor in Rollins' loss. With Roman gone due to his sudden leukemia announcement, Dean turned on Seth that very night! The 2 will collide soon and it is being rumored that the Intercontinental title will somehow be placed in the picture but not having Dean anywhere at the Crown Jewel was surprising and at the same time disappointing.
