A continued evolution for Big E

Every character, including Big E, has to evolve at some point. While we've had Superstars like The Undertaker carry the same character for almost his whole career in the name of legacy, that isn't always going to work - especially in this day and age.

Moreover, The Undertaker's change in character for WrestleMania 36 saw him have his best match in seven years and for the first time, fans were genuinely excited about seeing him again.

He might be retired now, but it's clear that every character has to go through an evolutionary process. The same applies to Big E, who has had the same character for a good part of four-and-a-half years.

At some point, things are going to change. While it's easy to push him as a babyface in the pandemic era of WWE where there are no crowd reactions (or legitimate ones, anyway), but once the crowds eventually return, there's no guarantee that Big E is going to be a cheered babyface. We could end up seeing him turn heel en route to a main event run.
