Edge's Character Arc Comes Full-Circle
While most fans like to focus on how Becky Lynch completely owned Edge during this segment from SmackDown Live 1000, not a lot of people have realized that Edge's Character Arc has come full circle. Every wrestling fan needs to know this:
In real life, Edge is happily married to Beth Pheonix, he hangs out with Christian & also has a stable life after retirement. The same cannot be said for Edge as a 'WWE Character'.
You see, Edge as a 'character' gets a divorce from Vickie Gurrero & indirectly burns all of his friendships in the business because of his attitude. Nowadays, the 'character' Edge states that he sits in loneliness full of regrets, staring at the titles for which he cheated & sacrificed so much.
This is why he tries to prevent Becky Lynch from falling into the same trap. The "character" Edge hates himself after all the regrets in the business, proving that taking shortcuts & backstabbing people has its own drawbacks in the longer run, which is quite rare in this business when you think about it.

Last Minute Changes Due To Time Constraints?
It is after the Evolution promo that the show seems to race against time.
The Miz vs. Rusev felt rushed right from the moment the bell rang. Despite having Jerry Lawler & Booker T on commentary during New Day vs. The Bar, both of these legends were not able to add any depth whatsoever primarily due to time constraints.
Several transitions between various segments were cut almost immediately. The commentators noted that there was a 'certain' disbelief on Rey Mysterio's face after his victory. Perhaps Rey Mysterio was informed of a sudden improvisation leading into the next segment?
Rey Mysterio's celebration was interrupted by the Deadman, who made his way into the ring & cut a very short promo covering the same points as those already established on RAW this week.
Was there more to The Undertaker's promo if not for time constraints? The short promo could also be as a result of last-minute changes. Nevertheless, SmackDown Live 1000 had a lot of memorable moments.
