#2 Triple H breaks the boundaries of an in-ring promo

On this week's edition of Monday Night RAW, D-Generation X responded to The Brothers Of Destruction's otherworldly threats. While the promo itself consisted of Triple H and Shawn Michaels addressing the criticism regarding 'nostalgia' (more on that later), there was one particular moment that might have harmed a previous set of establishments leading up to their tag team match at Crown Jewel.

The following is what Hunter said in response to Kane and Undertaker's promo from last week: "...But I got news for ya. It's gonna take a lot more to instill fear in us than taking your lunch hour, grabbing a Go-Pro, walking down the stairs of Knoxville City Hall, stepping into the boiler room, throwing on your mask and making some kind of idle threat..." (A commentator could also be heard chuckling in the background).

For those who don't know, Kane (Glenn Jacobs) is the Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee. However, tarnishing The Demon Kane's persona by acknowledging a real-life fact not only breaks character, but it also blurs the lines between what is supposed to be a part of this gigantic fictional bubble, and what is not.
