#1 R-Truth, living, breathing cartoon character
There's just something, some intangible quality, about R-Truth that is insanely likable.
He's almost like your crazy uncle that comes to Thanksgiving dinner, has a liitle bit too much to drink (maybe a little too much of the bubbly?) and rambles on about different subjects while everyone tries to enjoy their meal. The best part of his whole gimmick however, seems to be just how naïve and unaware of any given situation he is.
In fact, between repeatedly forgetting the name of the title he has a won a record number of times, to planning an escape using a hot air balloon, the man obviously has no idea what's going on (or does he? the world may never know) and it's funny to see what he'll come up with next. It's also a great way to attract social media attention, which Truth has become great at doing over the last couple of months.
Truth, with some help from the stellar assistance of Drake Maverick, took a belt that everyone had reservations about in the beginning and made it something absurdly fun. It all stems back to just how random his character is and how the man is able to take the situations that WWE repeatedly puts him into for comedic effect, and make them 10 times funnier than they were when they were just ideas written on paper.
In the end, Truth is a great at comedic storytelling and he's so over with the fans that anything he does is going to be beloved. It's a perfect combination to create brilliant angles and his naivety, almost child-like qualities, has a lot to do with that. He's almost like the inverse Wile E. Coyote; his plans and schemes are off-the-wall insane, and while he often has to abandon the original plan, he still ends up winning in the end. There's nothing that R-Truth can't do, and the WWE 24/7 Championship may be the biggest reason that he will end up in the Hall of Fame when he finally hangs up his boots.
