5 most promising WWE NXT superstars

WWE’s developmental territory has come a long way with the writing, the wrestling and some of the superstars having made it a must-see program. Fans now wait eagerly for the arrival of NXT superstars to the main roster.

Things have changed since Takeover: Dallas and Wrestlemania 32 as many of NXT’s marquee stars have made it to the main roster. The women’s division needs more well-rounded characters since three of the top four superstars have already been promoted to the main show.

NXT may see a revamp altogether but there are still superstars who have developed so well that coming to the main roster is the most appropriate next step to take.

Here are the 5 most promising NXT superstars currently –

Bayley

When you have a superstar who has the potential to be the company’s biggest babyface, whose credibility as someone genuinely good can’t be doubted, you bank in on that potential.

Bayley, in 4 years of NXT, has turned herself into a tremendous babyface. Pamela Rose Martinez has embraced her character whole-heartedly, and is showing herself to be the rolemodel superstar . Even her biggest fan, Izzy, is part of her story. Just go back and watch Sasha Banks gain some great heat by mocking Izzy.

The one reason she’s still on NXT is because of the fact that the women’s division doesn’t have a babyface of her calibre.

Finn Balor

If Bayley’s on this list, can Finn Balor be far away? And as history goes, when a champion loses his/ her title, their arrival in the main roster is imminent. Balor’s arrival has been much awaited and highly anticipated. Fans would be waiting with bated breath for his demonic entrance to the main roster.

At the moment, he’s busy bringing closure to his feud with Samoa Joe, but since his friends Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson are already making waves in the main roster, one has to wonder when and where will Balor make his presence felt.

Alexa Bliss

Bliss has been a Full Sail regular and hadn’t grown on the audience until she turned heel and donned red highlights on her hair and completely revamped herself. Her heel persona was completely on-point. It was a breakthrough and felt like a breath of fresh air.

She hasn’t really had a great match yet but her development as a superstar has been quite good. The best part was that with her tag team, she really tapped into the zone where she looked like Trish Startus during her early days.

The arrogance and the pizzazz will be a welcome addition to the main roster’s women’s division, which really needs more heels.

Nia Jax

If the women’s division ever needed a monster heel, then Nia Jax is the answer. Of course, she’s got the charm and beauty that her historic family (she is a first cousin of The Rock) has always possessed.

Her promo delivery still needs some work and she is still green in the ring, but her performances are consistently improving. One can’t deny the fact that she has quite a presence.

Her alliance with Eva Marie is on hold right now but there is still a story that can be tapped into later on. Jax’s strength is something that the division needs and it provides the promise that Kharma once walked with.

American Alpha

The duo are probably the best babyface team in NXT and the one team that no one would inititally have given much of a chance of thriving, because they were just so good as heels. That gives them an added advantage and shows that Chad Gable and Jason Jordan can really play any role.

The superstar duo are great in the ring and developing really well with the microphone. Their performances have really filled the void left by the duo of Enzo and Cass, who were very, very popular themselves. Hopefully, the tag team will soon get their shot at the main roster.
