5 new records set at WrestleMania 33
Some truly impressive records were broken by WrestleMania 33.
Despite the hit or miss nature of the actual show itself, it’s safe to say that WrestleMania 33 was a resounding success. This is particularly the case for the WWE’s finances and their corporate reputation from a business point of view.
Even the actual show was pretty damn good except for a few below par matches, and we also saw one of the most legendary WWE careers come to an end as The Undertaker finally hung up his boots after nearly three decades in the business.
So, just how successful was WrestleMania 33? Well, that’s what we’re here to explore today. With the company experiencing unprecedented success through the 33rd edition of their biggest event, some pretty spectacular records bit the dust over the course of the past week or so.
So, without any further do, let’s get into the list of 5 new records set at WrestleMania 33.
#5 Most WWE community service events during WrestleMania weekend – 24
This is one that won’t be making the headlines like some of the other entries on this list, but it still deserves a shout out. The WWE makes a conscious effort towards community service, and the company always arranges a number of events to help the local community hosting WrestleMania.
While normally they do around 10-12 events, this year Vince McMahon and co completely shattered that record by arranging a highly admirable 24 events in Orlando, Florida this time around.
It might not be the flashiest thing they do, but it’s still something the WWE deserves a lot of praise for. Despite the bad reputation it has, you can’t discount the fact that the company does more than its fair share to give back to the community and this new record is the latest example of the same.
