Kevin Owens proudly defended the ugliest looking championship belt of all time

This is often treated as a joke on Raw. But truth be told, it is a fact indeed. Kevin Owens truly is the longest reigning Universal Champion in the history of the company. His title reign began the week after Finn Balor was forced to relinquish the Universal Championship, the night after Balor won it, because of a shoulder injury. But ever since then, Owens has had 2 successful title defences (with a bit of help from his friends) against the Architect and the Big Dog.
Much like the face associated with the ‘Undisputed Championship’ is Chris Jericho, Kevin Owens is the face of the WWE Universal Championship. At 29 days, he is the record holder who defended his record at a modern day classic at the inaugural Clash of Champions. Which incidentally brings us to our next record in this countdown. Read on....
