Never ask Paul Ellering to sip from your cup
The Authors of Pain made short work of The Street Profits in the first of the two matches in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic semifinals. This was a strange match in a lot of ways. Following a series of moves from Angelo Dawkins on Akam and Rezar, Montez Ford began to celebrate. Until he ran across one Mr Paul Ellering at ringside.

Ellering would knock the cup out of Ford's hand. This would allow the Authors of Pain to deliver the last chapter. Words fail us when we describe this strange situation, so we recommend that you watch it for yourself.
The second match was far more standard and definitely more explosive. The unlikely duo of Pete Dunne and Roderick Strong defeated SAnitY in a great match to go to the finals of the highly coveted tournament.
The two teams will collide on next week's show to determine who will face the Undisputed ERA for the NXT Tag Team Championships at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans.
