This is yet another success story that has turned into a failed story. The Authors of Pain were an exemplary tag team in NXT, and they thrived to achieve all the success.

A.O.P defeated TM-61 to win the second annual Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic at NXT TakeOver: Toronto, and would win the NXT Tag Team Championships from Johnny Gargano Tommaso Ciampa at NXT TakeOver: San Antonio, and held them for seven months before dropping them to SAniTY at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III. The Authors of Pain haven't been booked properly since their debut, and they are another successful NXT tag-team which will lose their relevance due to bad booking.

Also, they've split from Paul Ellering which will cause more harm than good. AOP needs to find themselves, opponents, to remain relevant on the main roster.
