#3 Tommaso Ciampa

Tommaso Ciampa: Future WWE World Champion?
Tommaso Ciampa: Future WWE World Champion?

Tommaso Ciampa looks like he would mug your granny. The terrifying maniacal heel, Ciampa is destined to be a star in McMahon-land.

How can he not? He possesses all the attributes WWE boss, Vince McMahon loves in a top act.

Despite lacking height, standing at a relatively small, by WWE standards, five feet 11 inches, Ciampa has a hulking, intimidating frame that would scare even the most robust of men.

A 13-year veteran, Ciampa has had a long road to the top but it is a route that will soon pay off for the reigning NXT Champion.

Ciampa spent years wrestling for small independent wrestling companies before receiving an opportunity to compete for Ring of Honor in 2011.

Over the course of the next four years, Ciampa polished his act and became a huge star in the promotion, winning the World Television Championship at ROH's biggest show of the year, Final Battle on December 14, 2013.

In late 2015, Ciampa began competing for NXT on a semi-regular basis and signed on full time with the group in April 2016.

Keeping his ring name, Ciampa quickly ascended the ranks and turned heel on his buddy, Johnny Gargano to kick off a long-running feud over the NXT Championship which Ciampa won.

With little else to achieve in NXT after three years in the development brand, Ciampa is awaiting the call from McMahon.

It will come in 2019 and Ciampa's dynamic act will take him far, perhaps to the WWE World Championship.
