Future WWE Hall of Famer Batista has main evented both WrestleMania 29 and WrestleMania XXX during his storied WWE career.

After winning the 2014 Royal Rumble match, The Animal was set to face off against former Evolution stablemate Randy Orton for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XXX.

However, the WWE Universe was not pleased with Batista winning the Royal Rumble match. Instead, fans across the world demanded that Daniel Bryan challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship, rejecting The Animal in the process.

Due to Bryan's overwhelming popularity, WWE officials changed the WrestleMania plans. The scheduled WrestleMania match between Triple H and Daniel Bryan received a new stipulation that the winner would be added to the main event for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Daniel Bryan defeated Triple H and earned his place in the main event. With the Yes Movement backing him, Bryan made Batista tap out to win the main event and become the World Heavyweight Champion.

WWE commentator Michael Cole described Bryan's title victory as "the miracle on Bourbon Street."

Batista was 45 years old at the time of his WrestleMania XXX main event, making him one of the oldest competitors to ever perform in a WrestleMania main event.
