Even though Paul Heyman has been associated with some of the greatest professional wrestlers and sports entertainers during the course of his career, recently he was known merely as the advocate for the most dominant WWE Superstar in the last decade- Brock Lesnar. And while that is a coveted on-screen role, a performer like Paul Heyman would be creatively restrained by someone like Brock Lesnar, who doesn't wrestle on WWE RAW and SmackDown, so there's only so much that one can do with him, as his mouthpiece.
But now, with Brock Lesnar gone from the mix, Roman Reigns has been able to benefit from the notoreity and infamy that an association with Paul Heyman can bring, allowing him to become a heel after a really long time in his WWE career. Many have agreed that this is the best Roman Reigns we've seen in a while, so he has certainly benefited from Brock Lesnar's WWE absence.
