5 possible feuds for Samoa Joe after MITB

Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe is one of the most talented Superstars in WWE today, but unfortunately, he has failed to have that one feud that would propel him to the next level.

He will be facing Big Cass for the opportunity to qualify for the MITB match next week and will most likely come out with the victory.

Here is a look at 5 Smackdown Superstars Joe should start a feud with after the MITB PPV:

#5 Jeff Hardy

Jeff Hardy

Jeff Hardy won the US Championship on RAW before jumping ship to Smackdown as part of the Superstar Shakeup. He has since been involved in a battle of one-upmanship with former WWE Champion: Randy Orton.

Even with two such big names involved, the feud has been anything but interesting and after a lackluster match at Backlash, hopefully, we don't have to see anymore of this program.

In such a case, Hardy will be looking for a new challenger of his United States championship and who better to step up than Samoa Joe. Both Hardy and Joe are TNA alumni and can work with each other.

The viciousness of Joe will mesh well with the devil may care attitude of The Charismatic Enigma. Hopefully, Joe can capture his first main roster championship at the end of this feud.

#4 Rusev

Rusev seems to be in-line for a major push as the Bulgarian Brute managed to pick up an upset victory over Daniel Bryan, last week on Smackdown in order to qualify for the MITB match at the Money In The Bank PPV.

While that is a huge feat in itself, it's highly doubtful that he will end up winning the contract. One way to build Rusev going forward could be to have this fan-favorite superstar turn babyface and take on the Samoan Submission Machine.

It will be a proving ground for both these behemoths and a great opportunity for Rusev to solidify himself as a face.

#3 Andrade Almas

Former NXT Champion Andrade 'Cien' Almas finally made his long-awaited debut on Smackdown this past week, taking down a jobber within minutes.

After the match, his manager Zelina Vega cut a promo about how they expected more from Smackdown and that there was no real threat to Almas in the SmackDown roster. It's possible that Zelina will keep making such claims unless a big fish from the locker room finally shows up to shut the Mexican sensation up. And who better for that role than Samoa Joe, himself.

Going up against an experienced vet like Joe would help establish Almas' credibility on the main roster and help occupy Joe until he moves on to something bigger.

#2 Randy Orton

There should be no dispute when I say Orton's recent run on Smackdown has been extremely lackluster; ever since he split from the Wyatt Family, Orton has gone down the path of monotony and dullness.

Orton is the kind of worker who only shines when he is in a feud with someone who can challenge him, and Samoa Joe is the perfect candidate for that.

The Samoan Submission Machine is one of the best heels in WWE right now and can do a perfect job of instigating Randy Orton into regaining the spark that has been lost.

#1 AJ Styles

Samoa Joe and AJ Styles have had one of the most memorable rivalries in the history of TNA, now known as Impact Wrestling.

Fans have been waiting for the moment when these two time-tested rivals come face to face and with both Superstars now on Smackdown, it looks like we won't have to wait for long.

Styles is currently involved in a rivalry with Shinsuke Nakamura which seems to be on its last leg with a match scheduled between the two to take place at MITB, for the WWE Championship.

It is unlikely that Nakamura will pick up the win as he gained a victory over Styles on this SmackDown where the winner will choose the stipulation. So, a feud between Styles and Joe over the WWE Championship would be something of a dream come true for all wrestling fans.
