5 possible opponents for Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 34

Ronda Rousey
Former UFC Bantamweight Champion, Ronda Rousey.

Ronda Rousey made her return to WWE at The Royal Rumble and while she didn't speak a single word, she did point to the purple coloured WrestleMania sign in the rafters, which should tell The WWE Universe everything they need to know about her intentions.

With that in mind and several tantalizing options on the table for The former UFC Bantamweight Champion, here are five possible opponents for Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans.

Of course some options will be more likely than others, but hopefully, readers will keep an open mind to all the possibilities that are out there!

#5 Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women's Title

Alexa Bliss,

While Alexa Bliss versus Ronda Rousey has the potential to be one of the most one-sided feuds in the history of WWE, it is still an option for the company if they do decide to have Bliss keep the title at Fastlane. Unfortunately for WWE, Bliss and Rousey, this is probably one of the only matches on this list that isn't necessarily WrestleMania worthy.

Sure, Bliss is a gifted competitor in the ring and definitely deserving of everything she has accomplished during her short time in WWE, but she doesn't have a build that would make the match with Rousey realistic. Not only that, Rousey's UFC experience and the way WWE wants to build her up will probably lead to Rousey destroying her with one hit.

With that being said, and WWE's desire to finally do a Women's division WrestleMania main event in mind, this is probably one of the worst options possible to make that happen. Again, it's not that Bliss isn't a phenomenal athlete and an excellent heel character, but her having in any chance in a match against Rousey is unbelievable at best and laughable at worst.

#4 Nia Jax

Maybe it's a little too early to feed Nia Jax to Ronda Rousey, but the match would be the best way to create reasonable doubt about whether Rousey will lose in her debut or not. Not only that, the match also puts two of the strongest athletes of The WWE in the same ring with The Woman's Title on the line.

Again, it might be a little too early to do this with Jax, especially since she hasn't even had a run with The Raw Woman's title yet, but it would probably be one of the company's best shots at creating a realistic match for Rousey. In the end, though, this match lacks star power and that's a huge drawback for WWE.

#3 Charlotte for Smackdown Live Woman's Title

Maybe WWE won't pull the trigger on this dream match between The Queen and The former Bantamweight champion, but , it would still be a huge box office draw if they actually did. In fact, it could be the kind of match that fans remember exactly where they were when it happened and cherish it forever.

Not only that, the match could be enough to finally net The Women's division the main event slot for WrestleMaia Of course it isn't the only match on this list that will be main event worthy, but Charlotte versus Rousey is obviously the best choice for anyone wanting to see a match up budding with star power and athleticism

#2 Asuka

Asuka.
The Empress of Tomorrow, Asuka.

Interestingly enough, WWE already hinted at this match taking place when Asuka rebuffed Ronda's Rousey's offer of a handshake at The Royal Rumble, and what better place to do a blockbuster match like this then in the main event of WrestleMania 34. Whether it ends up happening or not remains to be seen, but it is a possibility if the following things take place.

For WWE to set up this match, they will first need Ronda Rousey to enter the first ever Women's Elimination Chamber match and come out the winner. That shouldn't be too much of an issue if WWE has her come out of her pod last and destroy everyone, but it could also take away from the appeal of a debut match at WrestleMania 34

After Rousey comes out the champion at Fastlane, Asuka then simply has to demand a match against Rousey for The Woman's title, and WWE can build the feud from there... In the end, the match will gain WWE massive mainstream attention, give them a chance at a main event for the women and put the streak on the line to raise the stakes a bit!

That would be awesome to see!

#1 Teaming with Rock to take on Stephanie McMahon and Triple H

How in the world WWE plans to make this match actually happen remains to be seen, but it would be a great continuation from what happened at WrestleMania 31 when Rousey and Rock joined forces to confront The Authority. It would also be one of those once in a lifetime matches on the same level as Rock versus Cena at WrestleMania 28 and 29.

Sure, it wouldn't be the all woman's main event that WWE was hoping for, but it would attract new eyeballs to the product, bring longtime fans back to see The Rock in action and probably be one of the most exciting events of WrestleMania 34 Not only all that, it also would be the best possible scenario for all parties involved!

Think about it! This allows As to have her WrestleMania moment and protect her streak while giving Rousey a big win as well! In the end, it would be a little sad to see Rousey, not in singles competition for her debut, but this is one of those situations where fans probably wouldn't even notice if the right implications are at play.
