5 possible outcomes for the SmackDown Live women's title match at TLC 2018

The WWE SmackDown women's title has been the talk of the town lately ever since Becky Lynch turned heel and won the title. The rivalry between "The Man" and "The Queen" has proven to be the gem of the main roster's women's division.

Their feud was done and dusted at Evolution, but a common rivalry with the RAW women's champion, Ronda Rousey, became a catalyst to reignite the feud.

SmackDown's GM, Paige, saw the tension between her former PCB mates and announced a title match at TLC for the SmackDown women's championship.

She was accused of being bias towards her former teammates by the entire women's locker room, which prompted Paige to make the match a triple threat, with the third member to be decided in a Battle Royal. Asuka eventually came out the winner of the match, earning the spot at TLC.

With three out of the four top women across all of WWE in the match, and that too in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs stipulation, it is sure to be a barn burner of a contest, with it possibly becoming the match of the night.

Each woman has a legitimate chance of winning the title at TLC, so lets go through all the possible outcomes.

#5 Becky Lynch retains

Becky is the most over SmackDown superstar at the moment

Lets get the most popular choice out of the way first. Becky Lynch is the most over female superstar (if not the most over superstar) in the entire WWE, which makes her the obvious choice for the top spot.

Becky winning the match would cement her as the top SmackDown talent, with virtually no threat to her title after beating Charlotte and Asuka. Ronda Rousey would then be the only real competition for Lynch, which could lead to a WrestleMania main event match between the two.

#4 Asuka clinches the title

Asuka deserves a run with the gold to get her momentum back

It's safe to say that Asuka hasn't had a great year. She started the year with her undefeated streak, won the women's Royal Rumble, but got eventually defeated at WrestleMania - hence loosing her streak.

After the streak was over, it was all a downhill path for The Empress of Tomorrow. She hung around the title scene for a few months, loosing out on each opportunity, and has now been relegated to a dance act alongside Naomi.

Even after her momentum derailed, fans are still behind Asuka, and want her to get her moment. Asuka has the best chance of winning the title now, with both the other competitors itching to get their hands on Ronda Rousey.

There could be a scenario where both Becky Lynch and Charlotte brawl amongst the WWE Universe, away from ringside, which would leave only Asuka near the title. Asuka could then climb the ladder and clinch her deserving moment at the top.

#3 Charlotte wins the title

Can The Queen reclaim her throne?

It's a well documented fact that the attitude which got Becky Lynch over is being passed to Charlotte in order to get her over for the WrestleMania match against Ronda Rousey. Charlotte has now moved on from a strictly babyface role to a more edgier and ruthless version of herself.

With reports coming out that Becky Lynch is still not 100 percent for the match, she is going to be scarcely featured in the match, taking lighter bumps.

Seeing the potential in Becky Lynch, WWE would want to conserve their talent, providing her ample time to recover. Charlotte would be the first in line to reclaim the throne in the absence of Lynch.

When all is said and done, Charlotte could be standing tall with the title, which would eventually lead to Ronda Rousey. Asuka could be challenging for the title in the next PPV, after coming short again.

#2 Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville interrupts, Asuka wins

Paige initially made the title match between Becky Lynch and Charlotte, for which she was accused of favouring her former PCB teammates by the rest of the SmackDown women's locker room. Two women from the bunch were Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville, who were also former teammates of Paige, and made their debuts alongside her.

Asuka earned the spot at the triple threat match by winning the battle royal and eliminating Sonya Deville at the end. Since then, the duo of Rose and Deville have been heavily featured during the build towards the match.

At TLC, the duo could interrupt the match, taking out Becky Lynch and Charlotte (simply out of jealousy for Paige's affiliation) while Asuka could climb the ladder, unbuckle the title and become the new SmackDown women's champion.

#1 Building towards WrestleMania

Who would face Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania?

The build towards Survivor Series and the actual match that took place has clearly shown how over the three women involved are. These three women are going to headline WrestleMania in whatever combination they lock horns, whether its a singles competition between Ronda Rousey and one of Becky or Charlotte, or a triple threat match.

Royal Rumble would be a major event deciding the fate of the WrestleMania main event, and who would go up against Ronda Rousey. This internal competition between the two SmackDown Superstars would be the feature in the build towards Royal Rumble, but firstly they have to opt out of the title picture, and TLC could be the best way to initiate it.

For now, all PPVs are dual branded, and Ronda Rousey would be present at the show, and even a minor appearance from the RAW women's champion could be enough to distract Charlotte and Becky Lynch. This would also act as an added motivation for both superstars to go after Ronda Rousey.
