As mentioned earlier, Kevin Owens is currently set to face WWE Champion Big E, alongside Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley, in a Fatal Four-way match in just a few weeks time. It marks the return of KO to the main event scene on RAW and his first World Title match since January.

One thing that must be said is that Owens could have had the upper hand in the negotiations for a new contract. He could have inserted a number of main event opportunities into his contract that may not have necessarily been there before.

Whether that involved his particular placing on the WWE roster, or even the opportunity to explore other ventures outside of the company, KO could have certainly laid everything on the table about his future.

Vince McMahon clearly sees a lot of value in Kevin Owens and the boat would have certainly been pushed out to make sure he signed on the dotted line.
