WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Finn Balor both have a history of major championship matches involving ladders. The Demon King once successfully defended the NXT Title against Kevin Owens in a fantastic ladder match at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn in 2015.

Meanwhile, Roman Reigns successfully defended his Universal Title against Kevin Owens in a 'tables, ladders and chairs match' at TLC 2020.

Perhaps the Tribal Chief will look forward to the WWE Universe's acknowledgment as he climbs a 15-foot high ladder and unhooks the WWE Universal Championship.

#1 A steel cage match

Roman Reigns has held the WWE Universal Championship for over one year. His reign featured successful title defenses against the likes of Kevin Owens, Edge, Cesaro and John Cena. However, many of those title defenses have been controversial, as Jey and Jimmy Uso's interference often assisted Reigns in claiming victory.

This was evident when the duo attacked Finn Balor ahead of his match against Reign on SmackDown. This attack helped Reigns defeat the former NXT Champion to retain his Universal Title.

Finn Balor could prevent The Bloodline's interference by facing Roman Reigns inside a steel cage at Extreme Rules. In theory, this should stop Jimmy and Jey once again, costing Finn Balor the Universal Championship.
