5 Potential Feuds for Becky Lynch heading into SummerSlam 2019

Becky Lynch is currently embroiled in one of WWE's worst feuds (through no fault of her own) with the very inexperienced Lacey Evans, and simply put, it's halting all of The Man's momentum. Evans has not kept up with the Irish Lass-Kicker in the ring or on the microphone, and leading into WWE's second biggest show of the year, they need to find a better opponent for the current RAW Women's Champion.

The current women's division on RAW has some talent, but no one quite at the level of Becky Lynch, so for WWE to truly give her another big platform to shine at SummerSlam, they may need to look elsewhere for her opponent. #5 Rhea Ripley

Rhea Ripley is still relatively new to the WWE, but her work in the Mae Young Classic and NXT UK proves that she's ready for the biggest stage-- a lot more compared to Lynch's current rival, Lacey Evans. Ripley has the look, the attitude and the potential to be one of WWE's biggest stars in the women's division, and her and Lynch have actually had Twitter beef in the past before.

The Australian born Ripley is still in her early 20's, so she has a lot to learn, and maybe a feud with the current Champion right off the bat is pushing her too quickly, but Rhea no doubt has the ability to adapt and succeed in any situation. This one is highly unlikely, but it's clear that Rhea is a big part of WWE's future, so why not give her the ball and see if she can run with it?

#4 Ronda Rousey

Given her situation with WWE following WrestleMania, this one is highly unlikely, which is why it's so low on our list. But WWE could finally pull the trigger on the singles bout we've all wanted to see since Survivor Series 2019. We don't know Rousey's situation with WWE right now, but given the money they give to Brock Lesnar to appear every so often, they could definitely bring her back for the right price and a big time match.

The rumours are that WWE want to do this match, but not at WrestleMania 36 like many speculated, so getting it out of the way now could be a great way to bring back all of Lynch's momentum. It's hard to see Becky beating Ronda Rousey twice in a row however, so this one is very unlikely, but it's something we all want to see, and it would give SummerSlam the big fight feel it deserves.

#3 Sasha Banks

Sasha Banks is still very unhappy with WWE, and there's been no sign of her returning anytime soon, but the lure of a long feud with Becky Lynch is something that WWE could certainly tempt her with. The two had a classic bout back in NXT, but for some reason haven't worked together since coming to the main roster, and if the heel Boss from NXT were to return, this one could be the hottest feud in all of WWE.

The best option for Banks' WWE return is to turn on her friend, the newly crowned Smackdown Women's Champion Bayley, but SD Live has plenty of challengers, and The Boss is needed on RAW. As we don't know Banks' situation with WWE right now, this one is very tough to predict, but if anything can bring her back, the potential of The Man vs. The Boss at SummerSlam is it.

#2 Beth Phoenix

Since becoming The Man, Becky Lynch has had Twitter feuds with just about everyone she can, and the latest target of that is Edge and his wife, The Glamazon, Beth Phoenix. The WWE Hall of Famer looked fantastic in her return at WrestleMania, and with all of the teases on social media, it seems like it's just a matter of time until the two finally square off in the ring.

We don't know much about her in-ring situation with WWE, as she currently serves as the third announcer in NXT, but this one is the big time match that the RAW Women's Championship deserves at SummerSlam. As of right now, with all indications, this seems to be the most likely SummerSlam match for Lynch if the WWE are paying attention to her Twitter, and while it may not be as good in the ring as a Banks or Ripley bout, it would be a great story worthy of SummerSlam.

#1 Shayna Baszler

Right now, The Queen of Spades is ruling over the NXT Women's division, but she's been doing that for a while now, and with Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir in tow, it's about time she took on a bigger challenge. These two don't have much history together, but given the rumours of an NXT vs. MMA Four Horsewomen match, it was only a matter of time until their paths crossed.

Baszler may not be the best in ring worker, but she plays her character perfectly and is a great, natural heel, and with Lynch still being very popular with the WWE Universe, it makes too much sense not to happen. For this to happen, her main roster debut would have to happen very soon, and if WWE do this right, it could be a great feud, and lead to bigger and better things in the very near future.
