Current SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte defends her title against former Champion Natalya at Clash of Champions this weekend in what is the latest in a long line of matches between the female members of two of the most famous wrestling families in WWE history.

Charlotte and Natalya first collided back in NXT with the Women's Championship on the line as Bret Hart was in the corner of his niece and Ric Flair was there to support his daughter. Since then the duo has fought over the Divas Championship, Raw Women's Championship and SmackDown Women's Championship making history as the only two women who have fought over all four of these titles.

The two next-generation stars are set to make history once again this weekend when they become the first two women to compete in a Lumberjill match at a Clash of Champions event. This is also the first version of the match to take place on pay-per-view for more than six years with the last Lumberjill match happening at Survivor Series back in 2011.

There are a number of ways this match could finish on Sunday night and here are just five of the options the two women have.

#5 Clean win for Charlotte

Charlotte could retain her Championship with a win over Natalya
Charlotte could retain her Championship with a win over Natalya

Charlotte is without a doubt one of the best female wrestlers in the company right now whilst Natalya is one of the best technically gifted athletes on that roster, so this is definitely going to be an interesting match.

After the meetings that these women have had over the past few years, it's obvious that this will be a show-stealing matchup. With the women from The Roitt Squad as well as Naomi, Tamina, Carmella and Lana at ringside it is hard to see this one ending clean. If there are any hopes of Charlotte being the one to step up to Ronda Rousey or even Asuka at WrestleMania in a few months time, then a clean win here would be the best option to end this feud on a high and allow her to move on to a feud with The Riott Squad.

#4 The Riott Squad unveil a new member?

Could The Riott Squad bring in a fourth member?
Could The Riott Squad bring in a fourth member?

The Riott Squad have been able to control SmackDown Live ever since Survivor Series because the women who were already part of the roster refused to work together. This week their luck ran out as Tamina, Lana, Naomi and Carmella all proved that they were against Liv Morgan, Sarah Logan and Ruby Riott which left them at a distinct disadvantage.

The women haven't needed reinforcements yet, but it seems that on Sunday night they will be outnumbered at ringside once again since the other team has an extra member, so could The Riott Squad have an equaliser?

Could they have someone who will definitely be able to ensure that their numbers game is much more superior? A brawl outside the ring could definitely lead to a distraction inside the ring and help either of the women to win, it just depends on which woman is quick enough to equalise on this advantage

#3 Natalya wins The Women's Championship

Could Natalya win back her Championship at Clash of Champions?
Could Natalya win back her Championship at Clash of Champions?

Natalya is a former SmackDown Women's Champion and when she faced Charlotte back at Hell in a Cell, the only reason she retained was because she intentionally disqualified herself when she used a chair.

It's not going to be as easy for Natalya this weekend since she has the women at ringside to contend with as well as the woman in the ring who's accolades already speak for themselves after just two years on the main roster.

Natalya's best hope is that the women at ringside so their job and distract Charlotte so that she can lock in the Sharpshooter or roll her up for a quick pin. This win would make Nattie a two-time Women's Champion just in time for the build-up to The Royal Rumble next month.

#2 The match ends in a brawl

This match could end up starting another brawl between the women

For the first time in a very long time, the Women's Championship picture isn't the main storyline in the Women's Division.

The combustible elements in this match that come from having seven women at ringside that just want to fight each other mean that it's highly unlikely that there will be a clean finish to this match. Every woman at ringside has an issue with someone else on the roster and if the past few weeks are anything to go by, the most predictable option would be for all the women to get involved in the match and for it to be deemed a no contest when it breaks out into a brawl.

#1 Carmella cashes in her Money in the Bank contract

Carmella still holds the contract and could decide to use it this weekend
Carmella still holds the contract and could decide to use it this weekend

With all of the excitement in the Women's Division over the past few weeks, it seems that many of the WWE Universe have forgotten that Carmella still has a Money in the Bank contract that she could cash in at any moment.

Carmella, Tamina, Lana and Naomi already have one more person on their team than The Riott Squad, so if Carmella decided to watch her teammates take out the former NXT stars after The Riott Squad have laid waste to Natalya and Charlotte, then she could easily take advantage of the fact that no one will know what's going on and cash in her contract to win the title.

This would be Carmella's best chance of ever being able to beat someone like Charlotte one-on-one so if the distraction is there, there should be no reason why the Miss Money in the Bank wouldn't take advantage and become the new SmackDown Women's Champion.
