5 Potential Finishes for Roman Reigns vs. Jinder Mahal

How will this match play out at next month's PPV?
How will this match play out at next month's PPV?

It was made official on this week's show. Roman Reigns will go one-on-one with Jinder Mahal in a singles match at Money in the Bank. The last time Reigns wrestled on pay-per-view against Samoa Joe, he was booed quite mercilessly. Will he fare differently this time?

Jinder Mahal has a chance to establish himself as a top superstar on RAW by competing with Roman Reigns. It will be interesting to see whom the crowd roots for during the match. Neither man has been a particular favourite of the WWE Universe.

I will discuss 5 ways this match could play out at Money in the Bank. Be sure to leave a comment and let me know your thoughts.

If booked right, this has the potential to be a very interesting match.

#5 Double turn, Reigns cheats to win

Could we see Reigns snap and tap into his dark side?
Could we see Reigns snap and tap into his dark side?

WWE has tried almost everything with Reigns. The crowd simply won't buy into the idea of him as the face of the company. So much so, that in London, Mahal got cheered over Reigns. Bear in mind that Mahal was the most hated heel on SmackDown Live.

Could we see a double turn during their match at Money in the Bank? Could we see Mahal wrestling by the rules and Reigns cheating to win, thereby becoming a heel? Fans have wanted Reigns to go heel for a while now, because then the crowd would naturally boo for the man!

An even tougher task may be to convincingly sell the idea of Jinder Mahal as a babyface to the WWE Universe. While he did get cheered against Reigns, he'll get booed versus almost any other opponent.

#4 Dean Ambrose returns, costs Roman Reigns the match

Could we finally see the heel turn everyone's been talking about?
Could we finally see the heel turn everyone's been talking about?

Rollins had a full-fledged run as a heel after the dissolution of The Shield. We've come to terms with the fact that Reigns may not be going heel any time soon. Could Ambrose be Roman Reigns' opponent for SummerSlam in a heel avatar? Could the seeds for this match be sown at Money in the Bank 2018?

Imagine Ambrose's music hitting and distracting Reigns when he's about to hit a Superman Punch or a Spear on Jinder Mahal. Imagine Mahal picking up a win with the Khallas, only for Ambrose to come down and destroy Roman Reigns. This would certainly be a very interesting turn of events for the Lunatic Fringe.

I would personally love to see Ambrose as a heel in the months that follow. I think there's a cap with regard to how much he can achieve as a babyface on RAW and his character lends itself wonderfully to a full-fledged turn into utter heel-dom.

#3 Sunil Singh helps Mahal win

Could a Singh Brother determine the outcome of the match?
Could Sunil Singh determine the outcome of the match?

Sunil Singh has been a very valuable lieutenant for Jinder Mahal in recent times. He's a man that always has Mahal's back, constantly taking some crazy bumps to save the day for the Modern Day Maharaja. Could he distract Reigns long enough to have his employer pick up a win? This is an unexciting prospect but certainly a probable one.

This could lay the groundwork for Mahal and Reigns to extend their feud into extreme rules. Maybe Singh interferes with a chair to set up a No DQ match.

#2 Samir Singh returns, helps Jinder Mahal win

Could the Singh Brothers be reunited at Money in the Bank?
Could the Singh Brothers be reunited at Money in the Bank?

Samir Singh got injured a few months ago and has been on the path to recovery ever since. If you follow him on social media, you've constantly heard news of his recovery and rehab. One wonders if he's good for a WWE return at this particular point. If so, could he be the X-Factor in the Reigns vs. Mahal match?

Reigns will not expect Samir Singh to play a role in the match at all. He may be prepared for the deviousness of Sunil Singh, but Samir Singh will be a whole new ballgame for the Big Dog. Singh's interference could cost Reigns the big match.

I do hope Samir Singh returns soon. Just one Singh Brother by Mahal's side somehow diminishes his overall aura.

#1 Roman Reigns wins the match clean

Ultimately, it may just be The Big Dog's night!
Ultimately, it may just be The Big Dog's night!

All said and done, Reigns is in a very different bracket as compared to Jinder Mahal. Do not forget that he lost to Chad Gable not long ago. The most likely scenario involves Reigns going over Mahal clean. And this momentum could spur him on to Brock Lesnar down the line.

Jinder Mahal could mount an offence in the early part of the match. But I'm sure that the Big Dog has this one in the kitty. And this concludes the five potential finishes for this match.
