It could be a lull before the storm or it could just be nothing at all. WWE has been putting on poor show after poor show ever since the Survivor Series PPV has culminated. It could either be a sign of something big planned for their next big PPV as WWE might just be putting all eggs in one basket and trying to keep the expectations as low as they can.

The card has slowly started taking shape and it does look impressive at first sight with the potential of so many storylines that can emerge out of it. There is a massive scope of potential shockers that WWE could have lined up for TLC.

Let's go through a few of shockers that WWE could have planned for TLC:

#1 Bobby Roode Turns Heel

It would be a much-awaited Heel turn for Bobby
It would be a much-awaited Heel turn for Bobby

There have been many occasion when WWE should have done it but they didn't but now the timing couldn't be better.

Bobby Roode and Chad Gable are currently in a feud against Authors of Pain. Both of the teams have won a match each against one another and the feud is expected to culminate at TLC with an encounter between the two teams for the tag team title.

Since Authors of Pain have just become champions it seems highly unlikely that they will forfeit their championship this early so it is highly expected that Bobby Roode and Chad Gable will fall short and when they do, it could be a perfect time for Bobby Roode to turn heel against Chad Gable.

Bobby Roode has been on Raw for almost a year now and hasn't done anything of note since then. The heel turn could be the trigger that could help his push as a singles competitor.

#2 Ronda Rousey Loses the title

The way the heat between Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey has accelerated ever since their Survivor series match it does look that there could be further involvement and encounters between both of them which could ultimately culminate in a match between the two at the Wrestlemania.

TLC could be a stepping stone for that as Ronda Rousey is going up against Nia Jax who has been given a massive push by WWE and has, in turn, generated a ridiculous amount of heat as well both from the viewers as well as backstage.

Letting Ronda romp to another win against Nia will only kill Nia's push and won't serve any purpose.

Rather WWE can work an angle where Charlotte Flair gets involved causes Ronda the match which results in Ronda losing the title and the feud between the two escalating to a whole new level.

#3 Asuka winning the SmackDown Women's Title

There's no denying that Asuka deserves a title push
There's no denying that Asuka deserves a title push

If this happens it could be one of the biggest shocks of the PPV. Asuka is an amazing in-ring performer and why she was literally dumped by the WWE post-Wrestlemania is something very hard to understand.

There's just no denying how good Asuka is or the fact that she does deserve a title push as well. But the way she's been thrust into the women's championship match if she did end up winning it would be the biggest shock and probably receive the Biggest POP of the night.

In many ways, it could be tied into the storyline where both Charlotte and Becky Lynch are too hell-bent on beating each other up which helps Asuka to sneak through to win.

Or in another angle, you could have either Ronda Rousey or Nia Jax costing the respective wrestlers(Charlotte and Becky) the match which could ultimately further escalate their Feud.

#4 Shane Mcmahon Finally Turns Heel

It's been teased for too long and it has been a really really slow Heel turn, but slowly and steadily it could be tending towards that. Finally, WWE management might just be pulling the trigger on the heel turn that has been rumoured for far too long now.

The signs are clearly there, Shane hasn't shown any animosity towards Miz whenever Miz has tried to ask him to be his partner. In fact, in the last segment between the two Shane showed a slight affirmation towards whatever Miz was telling him.

In the storyline, Miz could ask for a tag team championship match at TLC with Shane as his partner. Their team could get added as the third team in the currently expected card of The Usos Vs The Bar and then during the match at TLC finally Shane can turn heel and help the team win the match.

It would be a welcome change from the same old tag teams hold onto the titles again and again.

#5 Braun Strowman Beats Baron Corbin

Braun Strowman could make a return at TLC with some of his "Friends"

Baron Corbin has been abusing his powers to no end at Raw and changing matches at his whim which could turn the Locker room against him completely.

With the stipulation that if Baron Corbin loses he loses all his powers as GM we could see Braun Strowman making an appearance on TLC for his TLC match again Baron but in an injured state.

During the match, with the added stipulation that if Baron wins he becomes the permanent Raw GM we could see the whole Raw Roster coming out to the ring and beating up Corbin and his friends senseless while Braun ends up taking the victory without putting too much effort on his injured arm.

This could be a fitting end for Baron Corbin the GM as well because in recent weeks even the fans seemed to have had enough of him in that role.
