In many ways, 2018 has been a humbling experience for WWE, on a weekly basis they've lost out on viewers and has recorded lowest ever ratings pretty much for every consequent show. They've talked about wringing in the changes. They've talked about making the fans "The Authority". They've also talked about making the fans the biggest decision makers.

Pre-2018 WWE almost had this cocky attitude about its product where they didn't really care about what the fans wanted and just went ahead with their bit. That has led to the gross mishandling of many of its wrestlers who should be given the push but are not for inexplicable reasons.

2018 that has come back to bite them and it does seem that WWE realizes what it did wrong and will look to make improvements on that. This could mean Kenny Omega getting an extended rope when it comes to creative decisions which could further play a part in luring him to WWE.
