For a long time, the image most people had of a female professional wrestler was of a bleached blonde bimbo with a large bust and small brain, likely to be stuffed into a revealing, skimpy outfit and paraded about primarily for eye candy.
Thankfully, thanks to the recent revolution in women's wrestling, this is no longer the case. The focus of women's wrestling has switched from glorified swimsuit models to real athletes who are serious about their craft.
Perhaps no woman better exemplifies the new era of women's wrestling than Nia Jax. At six feet, two hundred seventy pounds, she literally stands head and shoulders above her contemporaries.

Excelling in just one sport is difficult enough, but Nia Jax has competed in several different disciplines.
In college, she was a basketball star, praised by coaches and peers alike. In fact, she received a full scholarship based on her ability on a court.
Nia has also competed in Judo, Karate, and kickboxing, but due to her massive size it was often deemed unsafe for her opponents, and she turned her attention away from those disciplines in order to pursue basketball.

Everyone who watches wrestling knows that being able to deliver in the ring is only half the battle; You also have to be able to speak well, get over with the crowd, and establish a compelling character the fans can invest in emotionally.
