5 Reasons why Stephanie McMahon should be the one to succeed Vince McMahon

Stephanie is ready to take over from her father Vince McMahon

Earlier this year, Shane McMahon returned to WWE Raw to a thunderous reaction from the crowd. In the months since it’s clear that the fans want Shane to be the successor to the McMahon wrestling empire. But would that be the right decision?

By no means am I saying that Shane doesn’t have a place in WWE, the man has WWE in his blood and at the heart of it, is a great performer. Shane could easily have an on-screen role and have a major role in management, but would he really be a better choice to be the top person in WWE ahead of Stephanie?

Although most fans would disagree, here are 5 reasons Stephanie would be a better choice to succeed Vince McMahon.

Stephanie began her WWE career as a child model for WWE’s clothing catalogue in the 1980’s

5: Would free up Shane for a role in Creative

Stephanie taking over Vince’s mantle could free Shane up to take over WWE creative

Stephanie McMahon has long been lauded as the more creative of the McMahon siblings, but Shane is no slouch. With Stephanie taking over as CEO, it could free up Shane from the business perspective of WWE so that he can reintegrate himself as a part of the WWE creative team.

Shane has a brilliant wrestling mind and with his recent return could help shake up’s WWE’s creative which has been really stale of late, not including NXT of course which is Triple H’s baby. WWE’s formulaic programming has left many fans disgruntled of late but Shane would provide the perspective of someone who been on the outside looking in for years.

4: Loyalty

Stephanie has done everything in her power to help WWE grow

Say what you will about Stephanie McMahon but she deserves her shot at being the WWE’s queen. Her career in WWE started way back when she was a child model for WWE’s clothing catalogue in the 80’s.

Since then she’s slowly risen to where she is today, as one of the most powerful people in WWE being a board member and Chief Brand Officer while also being involved in creative.

Steph has the business in her blood and has done a stellar job for WWE over the years. From the beginning her loyalty to the family business has been unquestionable and nobody in the company works harder than Stephanie, other than Vince. She has done everything in her power over the years to help WWE grow. Dedication and loyalty need to be rewarded and Stephanie deserves her chance at the top of WWE.

3: Proven business credentials

Stephanie has proven business acumen

Stephanie started her WWE corporate career as an Account Executive for the WWE Sales office in New York. Since then her rise to the top has included stints as Senior Vice President for Creative and Executive Vice President for creative to her current spot as Chief Brand Officer.

She was also able to launch a huge partnership with the social media company Tout, and was able to partner with Yahoo to bring WWE content. She is also the face of WWE’s charity work and anti-bullying captain.

She has proved her business acumen over the years and is a four-time Most Powerful Women in Cable honoree by Cable magazine. With a proven track record in WWE’s corporate structure, Stephanie has earned the right to succeed Vince after years of hard work and dedication.

2: Helped bring in the New Era

Stephanie has played her part in ushering in the New Era in WWE

With her husband Triple H, Stephanie has helped usher in the New Era of WWE. They turned the once maligned NXT from a pseudo-reality show to the hottest brand in wrestling right now. Stephanie has also helped usher in the women’s revolution and the transformation of the Divas division into the Women’s division.

Stephanie and Triple H are also helping to push the next generation of superstars like Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens and at the same time have shown the willingness to sign talent from all over the world like Shinsuke Nakamura and La Sombra.

Stephanie has a clear vision of WWE’s future and despite what fans may think of her, she’s been doing a terrific job behind the scenes.

1: Experience

Stephanie McMahon was groomed to take over from her father and has more than enough experience in the business to take over from him

It’s best for business that the person who succeeds Vince McMahon should be the one with the most experience. At this point, that person is Stephanie McMahon. She has experience both as an in-ring performer and in the boardroom. She’s been working behind the scenes in WWE for most of her adult life and knows the company through and through, having been raised in the business.

Experience is one of the tools required to be successful in any business and when it comes to WWE, Stephanie is as experienced as anyone. After being groomed for the job for years, she’s ready to fill Vince McMahon’s shoes and continue the legacy.
