While a women’s Hell In A Cell match likely wouldn’t serve as the main event of the pay-per-view event holding the same name (although that may not be out of the question), the structure itself signifies that a feud has escalated to the level of importance typically reserved for a main-event match.
Sasha Banks and Bayley already performed in the main event of NXT Takeover Respect, in the WWE’s first ever women’s Ironman match. The October 3 edition of WWE Raw saw Sasha Banks regain the Raw Women’s Championship from Charlotte in the main event.
The company has shown the ability to depend on female performers in a big way, and it’s time for them to depend on them to carry on the tradition and intensity of one of their most well-known gimmick matches.
