5 Reasons Why Alexa Bliss Deserves to Win the Women's Elimination Chamber Match

History will be made, and a Goddess deserves to win
History will be made, and a Goddess deserves to win

The Women of WWE are constantly creating sports entertainment history. Only last year, they were part of the first ever Women's Money in the Bank match. They continued their momentum from the year before, by participating in the first ever Women's Royal Rumble to kick off 2018. Is it surprising then, that they will all make wrestling history once again?

In just a few weeks, Alexa Bliss will defend her RAW Women's Championship inside the first ever Women's Elimination Chamber match. She will be defending her championship against Sasha Banks, Bayley, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville and her once-adversary, Mickie James.

There are so many ways this match could go. We believe it should end with the RAW Women's Champion emerging as the victor.

We have 5 rather compelling reasons why this should be the case.

#5 Bliss should lose her title at WrestleMania 34

It will be premature for her to drop her title before that
It will be premature for her to drop her title before that

WWE has the tendency to sometimes pull the trigger before they should. Case in point- Charlotte Flair. She had an incredible pay-per-view streak going, and out of the blue, WWE booked her to take a pin long before they should have. She lost to Bayley, at Fastlane last year.

Sometimes, it's better to wait for the grandest stage of them all, to have a chapter come to its logical end. Some may say that Alexa Bliss' reign as RAW Women's Champion hasn't been noteworthy, but it makes sense for her to lose the title no sooner than WrestleMania. Any sooner, and the impact may be diminished.

WrestleMania is generally a stage where babyfaces get the last laugh. The tyrannical reign of Alexa Bliss will come to an end, before a huge audience and the babyface who does it will get the rub.

Having her lose the title at Elimination Chamber would just be underwhelming.

#4 Alexa Bliss can verbally carry the Asuka program

She can make up for the one deficiency in Asuka's arsenal
She can make up for the one deficiency in Asuka's arsenal

We saw Asuka create history by becoming the winner of the first ever Women's Royal Rumble match, recently. Nobody can argue that Asuka's in-ring prowess is indeed unmatched. Where she lacks is in the promo department. In some ways, her command of English may even be poorer than Nakamura's.

Alexa Bliss is possibly the best promo in the WWE Women's Division. If anything, she can carry a program with Asuka all the way to WrestleMania 34. Without Alexa Bliss' incredible promo skills, the program may get a tad crippled over the long haul.

In fact, most of the heat in this program will have to be created by Alexa Bliss, considering that she's the heel. If there's no heat going into the match, the whole program may seem quite uninteresting.

It takes two to tango, and while Asuka can maybe carry the match in the ring, Bliss can achieve the same on the microphone.

#3 Banks and Bayley deserve their own feud

This is a feud that's been simmering towards boiling point
This is a feud that's been simmering towards boiling point

If we glance across the pool of contenders in the match, it's easy to see that neither Deville nor Rose may be ready to participate in a singles title opportunity at WrestleMania 34. Mickie James would be an interesting choice when she first came in, but over time her pops have also seemingly dropped in volume.

That leaves us with Sasha Banks and Bayley. While either woman could be an interesting choice to face Asuka at WrestleMania 34, we believe they should have their own feud. They created magic in NXT and they could do so again.

Besides, both women are loved by the WWE Universe. It would be far more rewarding for fans to see Asuka defeat Alexa Bliss at WrestleMania.

Banks and Bayley deserve to create their own destiny, in the coming months.

#2 To extend the program with Kurt Angle

Whatever your thoughts on this storyline, it's still something!
Whatever your thoughts on this storyline, it's still something!

Kurt Angle and Alexa Bliss had a very interesting exchange on RAW this week. Bliss accused Angle of being sexist, when he put her in the Elimination Chamber match. Angle was taken aback, and he retaliated by saying that she hadn't defended her title in months. This interplay had everyone buzzing, with positive and negative feedback.

Even if you're not in support of this storyline, it's still a storyline regardless. At a time when so many matches are thrown together without rhyme or reason, it is something we can sink our teeth into. It will be interesting to see where the story goes from here.

By removing Alexa Bliss from the title picture, this angle (no pun intended) can still continue, in essence. However, there will be no payoff, since the program is between a man and a woman, and inter-gender WWE matches can only happen if you're James Ellsworth.

#1 Alexa Bliss is money

Whatever role she is thrust in, Alexa Bliss always delivers
Whatever role she is thrust in, Alexa Bliss always delivers

There is a reason WWE believes in Alexa Bliss and gives her so many opportunities. The fact of the matter is that she can make almost everything work. She has been adorable in her program with Braun Strowman in the Mixed Match Challenge. She's great on the microphone and has a good look as well, otherwise!

She deserves to be in a match at WrestleMania because she is money. Alexa Bliss' personality is the exact opposite of her size- it is truly quite towering. Whether she faces Asuka at WrestleMania, or Nia Jax as some rumours have indicated, she will make it work.

This was just our reasoning, honestly. If you feel otherwise, let us know in the comments below.

Do keep in mind that it's blasphemy to speak up against a Goddess, though.
