#2 He is getting older
With Batista currently being 50 years old, it's clear to see that he will not be pursuing a full-time run in the WWE anytime soon. He has clearly already accomplished everything that he has needed as he has clearly put his all into this business.
He is also currently focused on his movie commitments as he has clearly taken the Hollywood ball and ran with it. Batista is a big box office draw at the minute, and his status is only going to get bigger as he is set to appear in big movies such as Marvel's Avengers: Endgame as well as My Spy which is being directed by Peter Segal.
If he ever did return to the WWE, it would definitely be his last run with the company in terms of competing in the ring. Of course, there is potential for him to appear in non-wrestling roles, but The Animal is clearly at his best when is competing in the ring due to the nature and magnitude of his character.
