Wow!

WWE made a promise a few years ago to improve the storytelling in women's wrestling and while the company has had a misstep here and there, the outcomes have been very positive. Beyond that, it culminated Monday Night on RAW in what has to be one of the greatest moments in WWE history.

Follow Sportskeeda for the latest WWE news, rumors and all other wrestling news.

Seriously though! It was in every single possible regard. Of course, some of the credit goes to WWE for raising tensions between the three women throughout the night, but watching Rousey, Lynch and Flair go at it after the match was just masterful storytelling. It was also the perfect way to build things up before WrestleMania 35.

With that being said and WrestleMania 35 now only a few short days away, here are five reasons why Rousey, Lynch, Flair getting arrested was the greatest segment of all time.

As always, let us know your thoughts in the comments below and be sure to tell us what you most liked about the segment.

#5 The Stipulation

WWE made a stipulation for Monday's match and it definitely helped make things more interesting
WWE made a stipulation for Monday's match and it definitely helped make things more interesting

WWE doesn't just add a stipulation to a match for no reason and they proved that Monday Night during the match between Rousey, Lynch and Flair versus The Riott squad.

In fact, the stipulation and the tensions that WWE teased throughout the nights broadcast seemed to all but ensure the three would brawl before it was all said and done.

Either that or WWE would have been forced to eliminate one of the women from the main event title match at WrestleMania 35, which would have probably received a very negative reaction. If nothing else, it is WWE's stipulation that teased The WWE Universe throughout the night and they absolutely delivered on it when it was time.

#4 Only a few days before the main event match

Will WWE go through with the main event of WrestleMania 35 as planned?
Will WWE go through with the main event of WrestleMania 35 as planned?

Let's get this straight.

The three women who are supposed to main event WrestleMania 34 in just a few days all got into a brawl, were arrested and continuously got cheap shots in on each other.

Beyond being one of something resembling that of the Attitude Era, it really made you wonder what kind of condition these three women will be in after all this!

Think about it! Lynch got cheap shots on Rousey while The former UFC Bantamweight champion was handcuffed, got into a kicking fight with Rousey in the back of a police car and even kicked the windows out!

Charlotte Flair also took a few pretty good shots at Rousey as well, which seems to make the RAW Women's Champion the big loser from all this.

If nothing else, it makes you wonder what kind of condition these three competitors will be in during the main event of WrestleMania 35.

It also kind of makes you sit there and think about what's going to happen when the bell rings and these three women actually get their hands on each other without restriction.

Interesting.......

#3 Beating down security

Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey versus security. Who wins?
Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey versus security. Who wins?

Another big way WWE pulled out all the stops Monday Night on Raw was to have Lynch, Rousey and Charlotte attack security during their brawl.

It was truly a breathtaking moment that sent the crowd into a frenzy and also blurred the lines between fiction and reality for the rest of the segment.

They then furthered that idea by having all three women attack the police and each other, which led to their eventual arrests.

If nothing else, it was absolutely ridiculous and legitimately made some fans wonder what would happen to the main event match in the wake of all this.

In the end, it was everything it needed to be and more. It effectively told a story, blurred the lines in the meantime and above all else, left the main event of Wrestlemania 35 in some legitimate doubt.

Sure, it won't last forever and the main event will eventually go on as planned, but it was a nice moment while it lasted.

#2 Ronda Rousey getting attacked by Lynch while cuffed

Becky Lynch got a few good shots in on Ronda Rousey during the brawl.
Becky Lynch got a few good shots in on Ronda Rousey during the brawl.

Let's be honest here.

Watching Becky Lynch finally get a free shot at Ronda Rousey while The Baddest woman on the planet was so unbelievably satisfying.

Not only that, but it also showed fans just how tired of Rousey Lynch is and also how ready she is to dethrone her. If nothing else, it was the perfect way to give fans a taste of what Lynch will do to Rousey and WrestleMania 35 and to also build up the main event

It was cathartic and it really helped fans get behind the idea that Lynch could finally be the one to dethrone Rousey.

It also showed that Lynch isn't above cheap shots to get ahead, which really comes as no surprise since The WWE has been scripting her to play a tweener role like that of Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Again, its the small things that make a moment mater and Lynch getting her hands on Rousey in the way she did was the result of doing just that.

Of course, the moment would be superseded moments later when Rousey and Lynch fought in the freaking police car, which was jaw-dropping, to say the least.

#1 The brutality

Becky Lynch definitely showcased some brutality during the brawl on Raw!
Becky Lynch definitely showcased some brutality during the brawl on Raw!

WWE went all in on the brutality for this one.

Not only was that evident by the cheap shots all three women managed to get throughout the extended segment on RAW, but also by just how destructive the whole thing was.

It was as if creative channeled the attitude era of old, mixed it with the Ruthless Aggression era of past and welded it together with today's women.

And it freaking worked to perfection. It was a moment that made your heart race as you watched the bizarre brawl take place. Beyond that, you cheered your ass off when Lynch finally got her hands on Rousey while the Baddest Woman On The Planet was cuffed. You want to know why? It's obvious that WWE made the fans feel something here.

Brutality to be exact and that is something that has been missing in the women's division for a long time but seems to have been resurrected in recent years.

In the end, WWE went all out with this one and to watch these women brutalize each other just a few days before WrestleMania 35 was amazing.
