The problem with WWE currently is that all of their top tier champions are faces. You have Seth Rollins as the Universal Champion, Kofi Kingston as the WWE Champion, and Becky Lynch as the RAW and SmackDown women's champion. Thus, all the storylines seem monotonous to the WWE Universe.

Focusing on the men's championships, the creative team will not take the Universal title off Rollins immediately, hence, Kofi Kingston will have to sacrifice his title reign for the sake of the ratings. Once Kevin Owens captures the WWE Championship, WWE can have either Kofi Kingston chase the title once again, or they can have stars like Ali, Finn Balor, or even the Big Dog run behind the title.

WWE can finish off the Kofi Kingston storyline by having him lose his rematch in Saudi Arabia and then allow Roman Reigns to enter the title picture. Reigns vs Big E could be announced for Extreme Rules with the stipulation that if Reigns wins he makes it to the championship match at SummerSlam. Roman and Owens can then tear the house down at the Biggest Party of the Summer.

Vince McMahon knows how to get the Big Dog over, so we should not be sad at all to see Roman's return to the main event picture. After all, he is the guy who brings in the ratings.
