Royal Rumble is one of the big-four events of WWE. Every year, fans eagerly wait for the mega event as it hosts the two 30-Superstars Royal Rumble matches which are always a treat to watch.

Apart from the Royal Rumble matches, the top four Championship matches are almost always held at the event that makes the pay-per-view one of the most eventful ones of the year.

At times, we’ve even seen the WWE Championship get defended in the Royal Rumble match itself! However, with Brock Lesnar entering the Royal Rumble match as the WWE Champion, it seems like the Championship itself won’t be defended at the pay-per-view.

This is a huge blow to the fans and the company itself as the WWE Championship is the biggest title the company has today.

Lesnar entering the Rumble for a chance to get a Championship match at WrestleMania 36 also does not make much sense as the winner will get a shot at the WWE or Universal Championship.

With Lesnar already holding the WWE Championship, it’s easy for him to keep his title by not defending it at Royal Rumble while also remaining in the competition for another massive match.

As for the other Superstar involved, it will be a huge disadvantage that won’t work well with the WWE Universe.
